COACH BERNARD COMER

Bernard T. Comer brings with him a true passion for athletics and more than 10 years of exemplary coaching experience.  Coaching both football and track and field, Coach Comer has worked with student-athletes at Virginia Union University, Virginia State University, and Benedictine High School.  No stranger to athletics himself, Coach Comer proudly holds records in the 4x100 at Virginia State University, was NCAA Division II All American for the 100m, and holds numerous records for indoor and outdoor track and field for the Colonial District High School, and records for football and track and field at Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, VA. 

 

Coach Comer has a true passion for working with students of all ages, as he has been an Exceptional Education teacher since 2004 for Richmond, Petersburg and Henrico Public Schools and now Chesterfield County.  Holding a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Virginia State University.  In addition to his work in education, Coach Comer has over 10 years of experience as an Intensive In-home Counselor for troubled youth in and around the Richmond area. 

In his free time, Coach Comer enjoys spending time with his three amazing children, friends and family while traveling in the US. 

 

Coach Comer is looking forward to a great season and to working with all of the student-athletes!
